Senior Backend Engineer - Event-Driven SaaS Platform

About the role

A US-based B2B technology provider serving the secondary ticketing industry is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer through Truelogic, a nearshore staffing firm. The engineer joins a core product team building high-performance backend microservices for real-time inventory distribution, dynamic pricing and automated order processing, owning each feature end-to-end from architecture and API design through deployment, automated testing and production observability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-throughput backend services and public REST APIs on a multi-tenant cloud platform.
• Implement end-to-end observability using structured logging, custom metrics and Grafana or PagerDuty alerting.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and own features through deployment and post-release support.
• Partner with Product Management and US-based engineering leadership to turn business requirements into technical designs.
• Drive engineering standards through code reviews, architecture discussions and workflow improvements.
• Monitor service health and respond to automated production alerts for time-sensitive workloads.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of owning features across the entire lifecycle, including automated testing, telemetry setup and production support.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing backend services on a cloud platform; Azure strongly preferred (AWS or GCP acceptable).
• Advanced English communication skills and willingness to work across US time zones.

Required skills

• C# and .NET 8+.
• T-SQL, schema design and query performance optimization in SQL Server.
• Distributed systems concepts: multi-tenant architectures, async messaging and event-driven pub/sub.
• Plus: Azure Service Bus, Application Insights, Log Analytics (KQL), Grafana dashboards and PagerDuty incident response; CI/CD pipeline or light frontend help is a plus.
