Senior Back-End Developer (Java) - Global Insights & Strategy

About the role

Truelogic, a nearshore staff augmentation provider with more than 600 tech professionals in Latin America, is recruiting a Senior Back-End Developer (Java) for a client that is a global insights and strategy firm combining research, analytics, software engineering and AI-driven solutions. The project revolves around managing data from several industries and building a platform that creates, transforms and exposes data alongside a team of developers. The position is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and support new and existing products and features.
• Implement and evaluate AI and LLM-based solutions to solve business problems or improve processes.
• Work with other engineers to build sound technical architecture and design for complex challenges.
• Follow SDLC best practices, write quality designs, run unit tests, automate where possible, review code and deliver high-quality work.
• Ensure code meets performance, reliability, security and testability standards and supports high traffic and availability.
• Develop scalable data visualization solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend experience with Java.
• 1+ year each with JavaScript and React.
• 3+ years with SQL, ideally including PostgreSQL or Redshift.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, OOP and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and developing backend services, writing automated tests, A/B testing and working with product teams.

Required skills

• Nice to have: Spring Boot, Python, C#, Go, C++ or C.
• Nice to have: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Redshift), Docker and Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: machine learning, deep learning, NLP, tokenization and data visualization.
