Pharmacovigilance Intern – Panama

About the role

The Pharmacovigilance Intern will support drug safety activities for MSD in Panama, working under the guidance of a manager or designated colleague. This role offers hands‑on experience in safety case management, reporting, and documentation within a global pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with execution of local drug safety processes and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support day‑to‑day safety case management, including intake, tracking, translation, acknowledgments, and follow‑up of adverse event reports.
• File, store, and archive safety‑related and regulatory documentation in electronic and paper formats.
• Report adverse events, product quality complaints, and other safety information in line with MSD’s Patient Safety Policy.
• Complete required training modules and any additional training before taking on new safety activities.
• May help with scientific and medical literature review as needed.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Pharmacy degree and in the final semesters of study.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (written and verbal) and strong command of the local language.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
