Value & Access Head

About the role

The Country Value & Access (V&A) Head will lead the development and execution of integrated access, pricing, HEOR/HTA and healthcare‑system strategies to ensure timely, equitable and commercially viable patient access to Novartis innovations in Panama.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the national access strategy for priority therapeutic areas, integrating commercial, medical and public affairs priorities.
• Represent the payer perspective in early pipeline discussions and define long‑term asset maximisation and indication‑sequencing strategies.
• Identify access hurdles and develop policy solutions, including pricing, tendering, contracting and outcomes‑based agreements.
• Build strategic partnerships with government bodies, payers, hospitals, patient groups and other ecosystem stakeholders.
• Lead HEOR/HTA strategy, evidence planning and submission of value dossiers, economic models and budget‑impact analyses.
• Provide strategic leadership to Access Field teams and cross‑functional account planning.

Required profile

• University degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Economics or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in Market Access, HEOR, Pricing, Health Policy or related disciplines.
• Direct leadership experience managing large teams with a proven ability to coach and develop talent.
• Deep understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem and experience engaging government stakeholders, HTA agencies and payers.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

• Experience in pricing and reimbursement negotiations, innovative contracting and compliance with pricing governance.
