Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL)

About the role

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a field‑based medical professional who provides balanced, evidence‑based scientific information to scientific leaders and key decision makers. The role supports non‑promotional peer‑to‑peer exchange, helping improve patient outcomes across the assigned therapeutic area.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in non‑promotional scientific exchange with scientific leaders and key decision makers, adhering to local regulations and industry codes.
• Gain deep insights on disease, therapeutic area, data gaps and opportunities within the geography.
• Represent Medical Affairs at local and regional scientific events, contributing to pre‑event materials and post‑event summaries.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical, scientific, pipeline or product information using approved resources.
• Guide stakeholders to company‑sponsored research, grant opportunities, clinical trials and outcomes research initiatives.
• Participate in Scientific Advisory Board meetings or expert input forums when designated.
• Provide medical/scientific support for Health Technology Assessments and formulary decisions.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Pharmacy, or advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Life Sciences, meeting local licensing requirements.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an MSL or in Clinical Research, Medical Affairs or Pharmacovigilance, preferably in Oncology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong scientific knowledge, clinical trial methodology, data interpretation and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
