Senior Sanity & Next.js Developer (Remote – LATAM)

About the role

WorkO3 World, a Philadelphia‑based digital consultancy, is looking for a senior developer to help deliver a large Sanity migration and ongoing feature work on a Next.js platform. The position is fully remote, focused on LATAM time zones, and runs as a 3‑month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Sanity schemas, including document types, objects, references, and Studio configuration.
• Build Next.js front‑ends that consume those schemas, handling GROQ queries, caching, and on‑demand revalidation.
• Create and run content migration pipelines from legacy CMS platforms (e.g., Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal) into Sanity, converting HTML to Portable Text.
• Work with existing content models, identify gaps, and build large‑scale redirect maps.
• Translate Figma designs into production‑ready, responsive, and accessible components.
• Leverage AI coding agents to scaffold components, generate schemas, and automate repetitive scripts.
• Set up project instruction files and reusable prompts to make AI assistance effective for the team.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and client‑facing technical discussions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven production experience with Sanity, especially schema design and Studio configuration.
• Strong expertise in Next.js (App Router, server components, modern data‑fetching patterns).
• Solid skills in TypeScript and React.
• Hands‑on experience migrating content from legacy CMSs such as WordPress, Drupal, Umbraco, Craft or Contentful.
• Comfort writing throwaway ETL scripts that are repeatable and reliable.
• Ability to read Figma files and implement designs without exhaustive specifications.
• Clear written communication for asynchronous coordination.
