About the role
AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its Panama City team, working on dam projects and other water‑retaining structures. The role involves field investigations, data analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including logging and characterising foundation and embankment materials.
- Perform geological mapping and oversee laboratory testing programs.
- Prepare high‑quality project documentation, reports, design drawings and figures.
- Collaborate with geotechnical and structural engineers to develop robust dam designs.
- Assist with proposals and perform geological mapping during dam construction.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with dam inspection, rehabilitation, design or new construction.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
