Rail Project Specialist

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Rail Project Specialist to join its Panama team, delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective rail projects for clients. The role involves leading technical efforts, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring client needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procedures and tools to support efficient project activities and produce accurate technical effort estimates.
• Manage communication and collaboration with the full project team and client, overseeing interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables.
• Review and oversee project designs, calculations, sketches, and schematics, exercising latitude in determining technical objectives.
• Mentor less‑experienced designers and ensure project milestones align with client expectations.

Required profile

• BS/BA degree with at least 6 years of rail/railway project experience or equivalent.
• Experience in PMO rail projects, both freight and passenger railways.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and apply advanced technical knowledge.
