Quality Assurance Manager for Dam Construction Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead on‑site quality management for dam construction projects in Panama City. The role involves overseeing all quality control activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and coordinating with client representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an on‑site Quality Management program for dam construction activities.
• Direct and coordinate construction quality inspections across multiple disciplines.
• Serve as the primary contact for inspectors and client representatives on daily site activities.
• Review contractor submittals for completeness and compliance, and manage the submittal and RFI processes.
• Conduct investigations, tests, and final inspections, preparing punch lists and closing out non‑conformances.
• Prepare monthly quality control reports and maintain a quality trend log.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with dam projects, including inspection, rehabilitation, or new design and construction.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
