Legal Assistant – Litigation Department

About the role

LAC Legal, a leading law firm in Panama, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Litigation Department. The role focuses on civil and mortgage execution processes, ensuring diligent case management and timely judicial recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file memorials, official letters and requests related to seizures, confiscations, auctions and precautionary measures.
• Monitor daily orders, notifications and incidents, controlling deadlines and term limits.
• Process registrations, lifts and certificates with the Public Registry, ANATI and other relevant entities.
• Organize and safeguard both physical and digital case files.
• Provide status updates to clients and coordinate actions with public and private institutions.
• Support the legal team in drafting reports, conducting due diligence and managing agendas.

Required profile

• University studies in Law, at least up to the third year.
• Minimum two years of experience in litigation, execution processes or judicial collection.
• Familiarity with procedures before the Judicial Authority, Public Registry, Notaries and the DGI.
• Understanding of precautionary measures and execution stages.
• Strong proactivity, persistent follow‑up, organization, clear communication and results orientation.
