Functional QA Tester (Mid to Senior Level)

About the role

WebRTC.ventures, originally founded as AgilityFeat in 2010 and specializing in WebRTC since 2015, is hiring a mid-to-senior Functional QA Tester. The role is remote and requires the candidate to be based in Panama; it is a full-time position. The tester ensures applications meet business requirements and deliver a reliable user experience, focusing on manual and exploratory testing, test planning, API testing and close collaboration with developers and stakeholders. Test automation experience is an advantage but not required.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to define test coverage and identify gaps.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, checklists and test data.
• Run functional, exploratory, smoke, regression, integration and API tests.
• Validate user workflows, edge cases, error handling and compatibility across browsers and devices.
• Document defects with reproduction steps and evidence, and investigate issues with logs and network information.
• Work with developers and stakeholders to verify fixes and assess release readiness.
• Prioritize testing by business impact, risk and timeline, and report progress and blockers.
• Manage QA across several projects and suggest improvements to testing processes and product usability.

Required profile

• At least three years of professional QA experience focused on manual and functional testing.
• Demonstrated experience testing web applications, including complex workflows and business rules; mobile or desktop testing is an advantage.
• Advanced or fluent English (C1 or higher).
• Based in Panama and eligible for full-time employment there.
• Ability to manage testing independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Testing REST APIs with Postman or similar tools.
• Use of browser developer tools.
• Issue-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, Linear, TestRail or TestLink.
• Agile teamwork and cross-browser/cross-device tools such as BrowserStack.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge.
