Entry‑Level Modeling & Simulation Analyst

About the role

Cortina Solutions seeks an entry‑level Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support a complex contract for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. You will work on Software‑in‑the‑Loop integration, run simulation events, and help validate naval warfare technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support Software‑in‑the‑Loop (SWIL) integration testing and ensure communication between software components and simulated environments.
• Run simulation events, prepare scenarios, and assist with verification, validation, and accreditation documentation.
• Collect and analyze simulation data to improve fidelity, durability, and safety of systems.
• Maintain SWIL lab operations, calibrate simulation environments, and manage model inputs/outputs for dynamic engineering scenarios.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, QA, and hardware teams to define integration requirements and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of relevant modeling and simulation, data analysis, or technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience or academic exposure to SWIL/SIL/HIL test environments.
• Active DOD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

• Programming/scripting: C++, Python, MATLAB, Fortran.
• Simulation technologies: SWIL, SIL, HIL.
• Data extraction, scenario setup, integration testing, basic data analysis.
