DevOps Engineer

About the role

Tigo, a leading multinational mobile, internet and cable television operator and the leading telecommunications company in Panama, is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The role covers designing, implementing and administering on-premise Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation, working closely with development, architecture and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and administer on-premise Kubernetes platforms in non-production and production environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate integration, testing and continuous deployment
• Implement GitOps practices for infrastructure and application management
• Automate operations with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Manage high availability, resilience and disaster recovery environments
• Implement monitoring, logging and tracing observability
• Work with development, architecture and security teams to speed up software delivery
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution in production
• Define standards, best practices and automation strategies
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery architectures for MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and Kafka
• Analyze capacity, tune and optimize performance, replication, clustering, partitioning and load balancing
• Design backup, restore and continuity strategies, and automate database administration tasks with Ansible, OpenTofu and other tools

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in this role or similar ones
• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or a related field
