Data Scientist (Entry-Level)

About the role

P&G is hiring an entry-level Data Scientist for a managerial full-time position in Panama Business Center. The role sits inside a large team of Data Scientists with diverse backgrounds and seniorities, where you take ownership of an algorithm or model need: formulating the problem, applying state-of-the-art AI, using P&G's cloud platforms and presenting the results. Relocation support is available.

Key responsibilities

• Mine terabytes of data, develop models and algorithms to derive actionable insights, and turn them into business value.
• Partner with business leaders to understand the problem and with data engineers to automate and deploy models into applications that prescribe solutions to Sales and Marketing executives.
• Analyze and model big datasets, turning 1.5TB of daily consumer touchpoints and 500 million consumers' behaviors into recommendations.
• Answer business questions and propose solutions using machine learning and deep learning, and automate analysis of consumer information.
• Design and own algorithm-driven applications from design thinking to user adoption, and work with technology partners to scale them.

Required profile

• Up to 3 years of relevant Data Science experience.
• Academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Knowledge of algorithmic development, deployment and monitoring practices.
• Experience applying and scaling analytic techniques to deliver actionable insights, and experience reinventing business practices in CPG or related industries.
• Fluency in Python, working with cloud environments and software development best practices.
• Experience with exploratory data analysis and business intelligence tools such as KNIME, Tableau and Power BI.
