Cost Estimator – Rail

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Cost Estimator – Rail to join its Panama team, delivering cost management across large‑scale rail infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end cost management from project inception through completion.
• Maintain high professional standards and reinforce AECOM’s reputation with clients.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence via communication and performance management processes.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to promote premium services.
• Support internal teams and mentor junior staff on complex projects.
• Identify marketing opportunities and liaise with Directors and Business Development for new business leads.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of cost management/quantity surveying experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts, especially PSC and ECC.
• Experience working in integrated, multi‑organisation teams and, preferably, within a client organization.
• Ability to influence key client stakeholders and build effective relationships.

• Cost/commercial management in collaborative environments
• Quantity surveying techniques
• Accreditation to MRICS or working towards it (preferred)
