About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced translator to provide specialist translation and review services from Spanish into Portuguese and English. The role supports the Secretariat’s linguistic needs, ensuring high‑quality multilingual communication across internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and adapt documents from Spanish to Portuguese and English with specialist accuracy.
• Review and edit translations produced by internal staff and external providers.
• Provide linguistic and terminological advice to various departments.
• Conduct technical linguistic research and support.
• Maintain and update the institutional glossary and style guide.
• Edit minutes of the Permanent Council.
• Plan and deliver training programmes for translators and reviewers.

Required profile

• University degree in languages or a related field.
• Native‑level proficiency in Spanish and strong command of Portuguese, French and English.
• At least 7 years of professional translation experience, including 2 years supervising translation reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, tact, discretion and diplomatic skills.
• Strong presentation abilities.
