Storage Infrastructure Specialist (DS8000 & SAN)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Storage Infrastructure Specialist to manage a mission‑critical banking storage environment. The role focuses on DS8000 (DS8K) arrays, iSeries workloads, Metro/Global Mirror replication, Cisco and Brocade SAN fabrics, and Cyber Vault immutable storage.

Key responsibilities

• Administer DS8000 storage across production, disaster‑recovery (DR) and Cyber Vault sites.
• Provision storage, tune performance, plan capacity, apply firmware upgrades and resolve incidents.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Metro Mirror and Global Mirror replication between primary and secondary data centers.
• Execute DR testing, failover and failback procedures.
• Manage dual‑fabric Cisco MDS SAN infrastructure (zoning, VSANs, ISLs, multipathing) and Brocade SAN switches (zoning, MAPS policies).
• Support iSeries/Power Systems storage requirements.
• Implement immutable storage and cyber‑recovery controls in the Cyber Vault environment.
• Develop operational procedures, DR runbooks and ensure compliance with banking audit standards.
• Participate in 24×7 production support, major incident management and change implementation.

Required profile

• 8‑15 years of hands‑on storage administration experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of DS8000, Metro/Global Mirror, Cisco MDS, Brocade SAN and iSeries storage.
• Experience with DR, business continuity and cyber‑resilience processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem and change management.
• Relevant certifications (DS8000, Cisco Data Center/MDS) are a plus.
