Midterm Review Expert for Land Management & Ecosystem Resilience Project

About the role

UNEP is seeking an experienced consultant to conduct a Mid‑Term Review of the GEF‑funded project that aims to enhance land management and strengthen ecosystem resilience in Carriacou, Grenada. The review will assess relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project performance to date against its logical framework and GEF criteria.
• Identify challenges, risks and gaps affecting implementation.
• Provide evidence‑based recommendations and corrective actions.
• Prepare a comprehensive Mid‑Term Review report for UNEP and GEF stakeholders.
• Engage remotely with project staff and partners to gather data and insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience in conducting mid‑term or end‑term reviews of environmental or development projects.
• Strong understanding of land degradation, ecosystem‑based adaptation and sustainable land management.
• Familiarity with GEF project guidelines and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently on a remote basis.
