About the role

The Export Operations Specialist ensures efficient handling of export shipments from the Tocumen cargo airport. The role coordinates bookings, manages documentation, and guarantees compliance with client requirements, regulations, and internal procedures while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and strategic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Create and confirm transport orders, ensuring timely receipt of shipments at origin.
• Manage and optimize bookings according to internal product guidelines.
• Prepare, control, and distribute export documentation and operational requirements for carriers, consignees, and suppliers.
• Verify responsibilities of all parties and validate final shipment requirements.
• Monitor export shipment status, identify incidents, and ensure timely resolution.
• Support Customer Service in handling operational incidents and exceptions.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners; evaluate supplier performance and propose corrective actions.
• Record, update, and manage shipment information in corporate systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Ensure operational documentation is completed and updated promptly.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, International Trade, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in air freight (AFR) and/or maritime freight (OFR) operations.
• Strong knowledge of export operations in air freight business and international logistics processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and English (oral and written).
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including night hours.
