Data Engineer – Client Delivery (Remote LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to own the data quality layer for a major telecom operator’s operational stack, covering OSS, BSS and network monitoring. Working remotely across LATAM, you will lead an independent workstream, solving cross‑system naming and ID mismatches and ensuring reliable data correlation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse data quality across OSS, BSS and NMS systems and identify root‑cause of naming/ID mismatches.
• Design and implement cross‑system mapping logic to enable reliable correlation despite inconsistent standards.
• Produce structured gap reports detailing anomalies, affected systems and recommended fixes.
• Develop AI‑assisted automation to detect and remediate recurring data issues at scale.
• Collaborate with client‑side stakeholders to drive resolution of fixes that only they can implement.
• Document findings, mapping logic, scripts and remediation status, and provide regular status, blocker and risk reporting.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or data analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with an instinct for spotting anomalies in large, messy datasets.
• Experience working with telecom OSS/BSS/NMS data or a comparable domain and ability to ramp quickly.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL.
• Python (or similar) for automation.
• Fuzzy matching, entity resolution and data normalization techniques.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools for automation.
