Corporate FX Salesperson – Panama

About the role

Citi is looking for a commercial and analytical Corporate FX Salesperson to join its Markets Team in Panama. The role works directly with corporate treasurers, CFOs and senior decision-makers, helping them navigate complex currency markets while delivering hedging, liquidity and digital solutions. It combines relationship management, advisory and business development, with exposure to regional clients and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and deepen client relationships: manage and expand a portfolio of corporate clients, build trusted advisor ties with treasurers and finance teams, and keep clients engaged through regular meetings and strategic reviews.
• Originate new business: acquire new-to-bank clients, generate opportunities across FX spot, forwards, options and other risk management solutions, and partner with banking and product teams to deliver holistic solutions.
• Deliver strategic FX advisory: analyse balance sheets, cash flows and business models to identify exposures, structure and execute customised hedging strategies (including M&A and project finance), and turn market developments into actionable advice.
• Lead digital transformation: promote electronic execution, automation and API-enabled treasury solutions, and help clients modernise treasury operations.
• Leverage data and AI: use analytics and AI tools to find trends and opportunities, and generate proactive ideas from market and corporate activity.
• Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Corporate Banking, Risk, Product, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in FX sales, markets, corporate banking, treasury, risk management, derivatives or related financial services roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Commercial mindset, strong business development and client engagement skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.

Required skills

• Understanding of FX markets and products such as spot, forwards, options and swaps.
• Ability to analyse financial statements, evaluate currency exposures and build tailored client solutions.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, treasury technology, APIs or digital financial solutions is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage senior corporate stakeholders.
