About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is implementing the “Support to Integrated Management of the Panama Canal Watershed” project. We are looking for a Data Capture and Quality Control Assistant to support the preparation of cadastral files, data verification and public outreach activities in Chilibre, Panama.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate data, documents, cadastral sheets and forms for massive titling processes.
• Enter and update information in the project’s databases ensuring high data quality.
• Assist in the preparation, publication and distribution of legal notices in local justice houses and municipal offices.
• Support planning, coordination and execution of public exhibitions in various districts.
• Generate, edit and perform quality checks on cadastral maps to meet approval standards.
• Maintain inventory of documents and equipment and ensure confidentiality of information.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education; a university degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, Environment, Agriculture, Earth Sciences, Social Sciences or related fields is a plus.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in data capture, office administration or similar roles.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote project sites.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays and extended shifts exceeding eight (8) hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Experience with video‑conferencing tools such as Zoom.
• Basic knowledge of geospatial tools and cadastral processes.
• Document management, data entry and quality‑control techniques.
