Timekeeper – Attendance & Payroll Coordinator

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a detail‑oriented Timekeeper to manage attendance and payroll data for its industrial operation in Panama. The role ensures accurate recording of work hours, shifts, absences and other personnel movements, supporting timely payroll processing and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and process time sheets, attendance logs and shift schedules.
• Maintain reliable records for payroll closure and generate regular reports.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in attendance and payroll data.
• Coordinate with workers, supervisors, HR, Finance and other operational areas.
• Ensure compliance with Panamanian labor legislation and internal policies.

Required profile

• Technical or university education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing, attendance control or related administrative functions.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with accuracy.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data organization, validation and analysis.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and Panamanian labor law.
• Experience with time‑keeping or ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors) is a plus.
