Asesor de Inmigración y Compliance

About the role

We are looking for an Immigration and Compliance Advisor to join our team in Penonomé, Panama. The role ensures that foreign employees’ immigration and labor permits are managed correctly and comply with Panamanian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and process immigration procedures, work permits, visas, residency and renewals for foreign staff.
• Liaise with government immigration authorities, legal firms and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in HRIS or document-management platforms.
• Provide guidance and support to expatriate employees throughout their migration process.
• Monitor changes in immigration and labor legislation and advise the company accordingly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations or related field; a law degree or advanced law studies is a plus.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience managing immigration and work‑permit processes in Panama.
• Proven experience interacting with government agencies and external legal counsel.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with HRIS or document‑management systems.
