Bilingual HR Consultant (Payroll)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual HR Consultant who will act as a trusted partner for employees, managers, and clients. The role focuses on delivering seamless payroll coordination, employee administration, and compliance with Panamanian labor laws while enhancing the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations and employee administration at the client site.
• Coordinate payroll processes, including attendance, overtime, leaves, vacations, employee movements, and payroll inputs.
• Serve as the primary HR contact for staff, supervisors, and management.
• Support employee‑relations issues, providing guidance and resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Panamanian labor legislation, company policies, and employment practices.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and personnel documentation.
• Partner with managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
• Identify and implement improvements to HR processes and employee experience.
• Prepare reports and follow up on HR matters for internal leadership and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience, including payroll coordination and employee‑relations.
• Strong knowledge of Panamanian labor legislation.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience providing hands‑on HR support in an operational or client‑site environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
