Webmaster for IUCN World Protected & Conserved Areas Congress 2027

About the role

The IUCN PCA Congress seeks a dedicated Webmaster to manage, publish, and optimise web content for the 2027 Congress website. The role spans from August 2026 through the event in September 2027, combining remote work with onsite support in Panama City.

Key responsibilities

• Publish, format and optimise web content and multimedia assets supplied by various IUCN units and partners.
• Maintain and update key Congress pages covering logistics, programme, registration, marketing and participant information.
• Coordinate multilingual publishing with translators, ensuring compliance with IUCN branding, accessibility, SEO and taxonomy standards.
• Manage user roles, permissions and simple digital assets such as banners and calls‑to‑action.
• Identify and resolve website issues, including broken links, formatting errors and performance optimisation.
• Prepare and distribute multilingual email newsletters using the CiviCRM platform.
• Monitor website performance and produce regular analytics and KPI reports with Google Analytics.
• Provide onsite website support during the Congress, responding rapidly to update and troubleshooting requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in website administration and digital publishing for international events or organisations.
• Strong understanding of multilingual content workflows and accessibility standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global communications, GIS, and technical teams.
• Willingness to travel to Panama City for the duration of the Congress.
