Webmaster for IUCN PCA Congress 2027

About the role

The IUCN Protected and Conserved Areas (PCA) Congress needs a dedicated Webmaster to manage, publish and optimise web content for the 2027 Congress website. The role is a fixed‑term contract from August 2026 to October 2027, combining remote work with onsite support in Panama City during the event.

Key responsibilities

• Publish, format and optimise web content and multimedia assets supplied by IUCN teams and the host country.
• Maintain and update key Congress pages (logistics, programme, registration, marketing, participant information).
• Coordinate multilingual publishing with translators, ensuring timely updates.
• Manage user roles, permissions and simple digital assets (banners, buttons, calls‑to‑action).
• Identify and resolve website issues, including broken links, formatting errors and performance optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with IUCN branding, accessibility, SEO and digital communications standards.
• Prepare and distribute multilingual email newsletters via the CiviCRM platform.
• Collaborate with Global Communications, GISG, technical consultants and developers for website administration and new features.
• Monitor website performance and produce analytics/KPI reports using Google Analytics.
• Provide onsite website support during the Congress, handling rapid updates and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in web content publishing and digital platform management.
• Familiarity with multilingual website workflows and coordination with translators.
• Strong knowledge of web accessibility, SEO best practices and branding compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and respond quickly to operational needs.
