About the role

The Diesel Engine Technician 1 will support the operational availability of Liebherr equipment by performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines. Working under supervision within a team, the technician ensures equipment downtime is minimized while representing Liebherr during service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge of four‑stroke internal combustion and diesel injection systems to complete assigned tasks.
• Execute maintenance according to factory manuals, including component replacement and use of recommended manual and electric tools.
• Perform technical evaluations and generate reports on diesel engine issues, using principles of engine operation.
• Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics to quickly identify faults.
• Mount and adjust diesel engine components following service manual procedures.
• Operate specialized inspection equipment such as thermographic cameras, roughness meters, digital cameras, and flexible‑head videoscopes.
• Conduct PCR tasks (12K and 24K) following leader instructions, Gantt chart guidelines, safety procedures, and technical specifications.
• Assist senior engine technicians in fault detection and coordinate with higher‑level technicians when advanced expertise is required.
• Maintain clean and serviceable tools, complete work orders, and report to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Perform work safely, conduct risk analyses (ATS), and report near‑miss incidents.

Required profile

• Technical background in diesel engines and injection systems.
