Head of Health & Safety – LATAM

About the role

The Head of Health & Safety will lead regional H&S and process safety strategy across Latin America, working closely with country leaders and the global H&S function to translate strategic objectives into practical site improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional H&S and process safety strategy, promoting visible leadership and proactive risk management.
• Coach senior operational leaders and country H&S teams to deliver consistent standards and measurable improvements.
• Strengthen risk controls and assurance activities covering asset integrity, contractor safety, control of work, permit to work and management of change.
• Provide direction on significant incident investigations, ensuring robust root‑cause analysis and lessons learned sharing.
• Lead, develop and support H&S professionals across the region, fostering collaboration and capability building.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience in Oil & Gas or other high‑risk sectors within health & safety.
• Strong process safety experience.
• Degree in chemical, process engineering, or petroleum.
• Safety qualification to Diploma level.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel regularly across LATAM.
