Spanish Translator & Quality Reviewer for UNICEF E‑Learning Courses

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced Spanish translator to convert nine self‑paced emergency response e‑learning courses from English to Spanish. The consultant will ensure linguistic accuracy, visual consistency, and functional quality across all course components.

Key responsibilities

• Translate all textual content, graphics, downloadable resources, subtitles, navigation elements and visual assets into Spanish.
• Perform quality assurance checks to guarantee linguistic precision and alignment with UNICEF standards.
• Publish the fully translated Articulate Rise courses on the Agora platform and obtain final approval.
• Collaborate with the Emergency Section team to address any technical or contextual issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Translation, Linguistics, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in translation, editing or localization of digital learning materials.
• Experience with humanitarian, education or international development organizations is highly desirable.
• Prior work with UNICEF or other UN agencies is considered an asset.

Required skills

• Excellent written and editorial Spanish proficiency.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted translation tools combined with rigorous human QA.
• Hands‑on experience with e‑learning authoring platforms such as Articulate Rise 360 or Storyline 360.
• Ability to manage subtitles, graphics and multimedia learning resources.
• Strong attention to detail.
