Spanish Teacher

About the role

An international school in Panama is looking for a Spanish teacher. The role covers planning and delivering lessons, managing the classroom, assessing student progress and supporting students' wellbeing, within a school that follows its own safeguarding, diversity and inclusion principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and standards, using varied strategies and integrating technology.
• Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom and manage behaviour professionally.
• Develop and administer assessments, analyse results and keep accurate records of student progress.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative classroom culture and celebrate student achievements.
• Take part in professional development, stay current with educational research and collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff.
• Contribute to curriculum development and adapt instruction to the needs of all students.
• Support students' academic, social and emotional needs and take part in school events and extracurricular programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education.
• Certification in English.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the IB curriculum preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of curriculum.
• Experience developing and implementing innovative teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff.
