Software Engineer III - Automation Team

About the role

We are designing the grid of the future and need an experienced Python Software Engineer to join our Automation Team. You will build robust automation systems that power critical workflows across our power‑systems consultancy, leveraging modern orchestration tools and cloud‑native technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality Python workflow code to automate power‑system engineering analysis.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and containerised workloads on Kubernetes and AWS (EC2, EKS).
• Participate in requirements sessions with stakeholders and ensure delivered code meets standards for linting, testing, and security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience building production systems.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one workflow orchestration engine (e.g., Windmill.dev, Temporal, Kestra, Hatchet).
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Practical experience running production workloads on AWS, specifically EC2 and EKS.
