Senior Technical Records Specialist

About the role

This position ensures that all documentation produced by line maintenance, major maintenance checks and digital records is properly digitized, stored and fully traceable. It covers the oversight of digitization processes, document management systems, maintenance control data and the preparation of airworthiness reports for the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee digitization processes to ensure the quality, integrity and availability of information.
• Administer document management systems and tools (such as Airvault and Access), ensuring they function correctly and are adopted effectively.
• Track and follow up on discrepancies identified by the Audit team until they are resolved.
• Prepare reports and executive summaries on the airworthiness status of the fleet, supporting operational and regulatory decisions.
• Keep the maintenance control system up to date by supporting business areas or implementing corrections, including flight hours, maintenance events, NHA/NLA controls and maintaining a perfect aircraft status in the MRO system.
• Work with the Technical Records Audit team during regulatory and owner inspections.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to automate and continuously improve documentation processes.
• Lead aircraft induction and phase-out projects.

Required profile

• Current Aviation Technician license, or a bachelor's degree (engineering, aeronautical or related), or currently studying; master's degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience in the technical records department of an airline or related company.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aviation regulations (AAC, RACP, FAA).
• Knowledge of MRO systems, technical operational tools and document-control platforms.
