Senior QA Automation Engineer – JavaScript/TypeScript

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a fast‑moving, lean engineering team that builds web‑based hospitality and retail platforms. The role blends hands‑on automation with strategic testing of e‑commerce, payment and POS workflows, and requires close collaboration with engineering and data teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for web applications using Selenium with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Execute functional, UI, regression and end‑to‑end tests for new features and releases.
• Validate transactional and payment flows, including Stripe integrations and POS system interactions.
• Perform API testing, database verification and support ETL‑related data validation.
• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure data integrity across backend services.
• Participate in release validation, identify risks and drive continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software QA and test‑automation experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Selenium and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience testing e‑commerce platforms, payment gateways and third‑party integrations.
• Solid understanding of API testing, backend validation and database workflows.
• Ability to work autonomously in Agile/Kanban environments and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
