Senior Data Quality Analyst (Remote)

About the role

As a Senior Data Quality Analyst you will act as the bridge between business specifications and technical delivery. You will ensure that data produced by the platform matches the intended business meaning by investigating defects and validating transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Read business specifications and documentation to define expected data behavior.
• Write and reason through SQL queries to investigate defects, perform source‑to‑target reconciliation and compare legacy versus new logic.
• Validate transformation correctness, identify incorrect mappings, placeholder or unsourced values.
• Manage a defect backlog, reproduce issues, isolate root causes and route them to the appropriate engineer with clear details.
• Raise clarifying questions with client‑side stakeholders to confirm business intent.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or data quality/QA analysis.
• Strong hands‑on SQL skills for analytical querying and defect investigation.
• Experience identifying root causes and working with a Jira backlog.
• Proactive, question‑asking style and excellent written and spoken English.
