Regional Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

The Regional Senior Tax Analyst will ensure consistent management of tax matters across the Puma Group, working closely with local management and the central tax department. This role supports tax planning, compliance, risk management and transfer‑pricing activities for a multi‑national, oil and energy business.

Key responsibilities

• Review tax forecasts and budgets, providing input for planning cycles.
• Support business restructuring, M&A and other investment projects with tax due‑diligence.
• Implement tax strategies to optimise direct and indirect tax positions.
• Manage and review tax accounting and reporting for income tax, deferred tax, capital gains, WHT and related items.
• Provide training to regional finance teams on tax accounting and reporting standards.
• Maintain tax compliance trackers, standardise documentation and improve control processes.
• Conduct tax health checks, GAP analyses and support audit defence files.
• Monitor transfer‑pricing compliance, documentation and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years experience in corporate tax advisory or accounting.
• Experience in mid‑downstream oil & energy or related sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with Central & Latin American tax environments (e.g., Guatemala, El Salvador) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS and US Federal & State tax laws.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.
