QuickBooks Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QuickBooks Financial Controller to own and manage the accounting function of a luxury interior design firm. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for the General Ledger, month‑end close, financial reporting, and leading the transition from outsourced to in‑house accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, optimize, and implement QuickBooks to match the company’s accounting structure.
• Lead the migration of the General Ledger from an external firm to an internal team.
• Maintain, reconcile, and close the books on a monthly basis.
• Establish and manage the Chart of Accounts and classification standards.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, P&L reports, and cash position analyses.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Manage and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.

Required profile

• Proven accounting experience with deep, hands‑on QuickBooks expertise.
• Comfortable configuring and optimizing QuickBooks, including implementation projects.
• Highly accurate, independent, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced remote environment.
• Willing to support operational tasks beyond traditional accounting when needed.
