Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Quality Control Manager will lead the Contractor’s Quality Control System (CQC) for a water‑treatment plant project in West Panama. Reporting to Project Management, you will ensure that all work complies with contractual quality requirements and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and supervise all quality control activities throughout project execution.
• Act as the Contractor’s representative on all quality‑management matters.
• Implement and maintain procedures, records and controls to meet quality standards.
• Organise inspections, verifications and quality‑assurance activities required by the project.
• Identify, document and follow‑up non‑conformities and corrective actions.
• Maintain communication with the client, inspectors and other stakeholders on quality‑related issues.
• Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the approved Quality Control Plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Valid professional licence/certification issued by the JTIA, where applicable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design or construction of water‑treatment plants or expansions.
• Proven experience with quality assurance and quality control systems in construction.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate quality activities.
• Full‑time availability for the project duration and ability to work onsite in La Chorrera.
