Purchase Associate – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Purchase Associate to support the purchasing function at APM Terminals Panama. The role ensures timely acquisition of materials, equipment and services that keep terminal operations running smoothly. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to manage procurement planning, cost optimisation and inventory support.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and purchase quality products, materials and services required for terminal operations.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Support inventory management and procurement planning activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align purchasing with operational needs.
