Project Coordinator – Mining Site

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the technical service team at a mining site in Panama City. The role is full‑time, onsite, and involves close interaction with the client, maintenance teams, and cross‑functional departments to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the technical service crew on the mining site.
• Manage schedules, shifts, vacations and performance of field technicians.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on all field‑service matters.
• Align service activities with the client’s maintenance objectives and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor team performance, support reliability initiatives and track work orders in the ERP system.
• Prepare service reports for the Operations Manager and Director.
• Participate in client meetings, represent the team professionally, and mentor new members.
• Integrate digital tools to improve operational efficiency and propose preventive actions for operational and environmental risks.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of field‑service experience in the mining sector.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Resilience, adaptability and self‑motivation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience using ERP systems for work‑order tracking.
• Data analysis and quality‑control techniques.
• Knowledge of heavy mining machinery and safety standards.
