Merchandising Specialist

About the role

The Merchandising Specialist will support the execution of the convenience‑store strategic plan, ensuring product assortments, inventories and visual standards are maintained across the network. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, store teams and the food‑service division to drive compliance, new product launches and promotional activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the retail management system by adding/removing products, monitoring inventory levels and ensuring planogram compliance.
• Prepare and analyse food‑service performance reports.
• Ensure food‑hygiene, safety and brand standards are consistently applied in all stores.
• Negotiate with suppliers, distributors and dealers to improve product offerings.
• Evaluate and introduce new menu items and related procedures.
• Conduct monthly audit visits to Super 7 stores, generate reports and action plans.
• Provide train‑the‑trainer sessions for store managers and supervisors on food‑service and product manufacturing procedures.
• Supervise in‑store processes according to operating manuals, HACCP and licensing requirements.
• Oversee promotional material placement according to execution guidelines.
• Support planning and execution of promotional and discount periods with suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Restaurant Management, Professional Cooking, Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in food engineering, retail, or store‑level merchandising.
• Experience with new‑product development, hygiene standards and project management.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
