Medical Virtual Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Doctor to support our telehealth operations by conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, reviewing medical histories, and providing clinical recommendations remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients during telehealth consultations, performing detailed medical assessments.
• Collect and document patient demographics, medical history, allergies, medications, and current diagnoses.
• Evaluate symptoms, identify potential diagnoses, and determine appropriate treatment plans, including medication prescribing when legally authorized.
• Review laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and existing treatment plans to support clinical decisions.
• Enter all clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations into the medical documentation system with high accuracy.
• Maintain confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and U.S. healthcare privacy standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Previous clinical experience as a physician or primary care provider.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize urgent or emergency conditions.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare practices, clinical guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems, especially eClinicalWorks.
• Experience using platforms such as Athenahealth, Kareo, Epic, NextGen, or AdvancedMD.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, drug interactions, and common U.S. medications.
