Bilingual Spanish/English Medical Interpreter

About the role

I-Call International is seeking Spanish/English bilingual interpreters to work remotely, providing consecutive medical interpretation between healthcare providers and Spanish‑speaking patients.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information.
• Provide cultural mediation to help patients navigate the healthcare system and assist providers in understanding cultural differences.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
• Document interpretation sessions, including date, time, duration, and type of service.
• Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

Required profile

• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Prior experience in interpretation or translation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system.
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Required skills

• Reliable internet connection (minimum 15 Mbps download and upload).
• PC with at least an Intel Core i7 (6th gen or newer) and 8 GB RAM.
• USB wired headset with noise‑cancellation (e.g., Logitech H390).
• LAN (Ethernet) connection with cable and latency ≤ 100 ms.
• HD webcam and a professional working space.

What we offer

• Hourly pay rate of 6 USD per hour.
