Medical Billing & Collections Specialist (On‑site)

About the role

Insignia Resources is looking for detail‑oriented professionals to join its on‑site team in Panama as Medical Billing and Collections Specialists. You will handle billing cycles, process claims, and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments while working closely with internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Bill monthly for services rendered and process Medicaid, Medicare, hospice, and private insurance claims.
• Issue and manage private billing statements and conduct aging reviews to meet collection goals.
• Follow up on past‑due accounts via call, email, and chat, negotiating payment plans when needed.
• Perform refunds, write‑offs, adjustments, and reposting to clean up aging reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve claim discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.

Required profile

• Panamanian citizen or holder of a valid work permit for Panama.
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum educational requirement).
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Proven experience in medical billing or hard collections (1+ year preferred).
