Maintenance Planner – Panama City

About the role

3M is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate and optimize maintenance activities across its Panama facility. You will work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders using a CMMS, covering cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and part replacements.
• Assign resources, generate work orders, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly compliance.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring they meet safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, costs, and KPI performance.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify root‑cause failures and drive continuous improvement.
• Procure spare parts, tools, and services; manage vendor relationships and monitor contractor performance.
• Support budget planning, expense tracking, and ensure maintenance spend stays within budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience using maintenance planning and scheduling software.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.

Required skills

• CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) proficiency.
• Data analysis with Power BI and Excel.
• Experience in spare‑parts inventory analysis and procurement processes.
