About the role

We are looking for a Head of Quality and Food Safety to lead our fruit and vegetable operation in Panama City. The professional will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in line with GFSI standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the management and certification of the FSSC 22000 system.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (BPM), HACCP and prerequisite programs.
• Plan and conduct internal, external and client audits.
• Investigate non‑conformities, handle complaints and drive CAPA plans.
• Supervise critical suppliers and packaging material compliance.
• Promote a strong food‑safety culture through training and on‑site leadership.
• Monitor key performance indicators and steer continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in fresh produce.
• Deep knowledge of food‑safety management systems, HACCP, BPM and GFSI standards.
• Strong analytical mindset and results‑oriented leadership.
