Investment Director – Private Investment Platform

About the role

We are seeking an Investment Director to lead the investment management function of a private investment platform backed by an established Panamanian business group. The role will oversee a diversified portfolio, evaluate new opportunities across traditional and alternative assets, and provide well‑supported recommendations to senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis, monitoring and ongoing management of a diversified investment portfolio.
• Contribute to investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend new investment opportunities.
• Lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and scenario modeling.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to Investment Committees and Boards.
• Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, concentration and risk exposure.
• Evaluate external asset managers, funds, banks, custodians and investment advisors.
• Coordinate implementation and documentation of approved investment decisions.
• Develop executive reporting on performance, risks and portfolio outlook.
• Strengthen investment processes, controls, governance and decision‑making frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Financial Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration is highly valued.
• CFA, CAIA or other relevant credentials are valued.
• Approximately 7+ years of experience in investment management, asset management, private banking, institutional investments, family offices, private equity or investment banking.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating investments across multiple asset classes, including alternative investments.
• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.
