Industrial Safety Officer

About the role

ZPMC Panamá is looking for an Industrial Safety Officer to lead, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across its port equipment operations. You will work closely with field engineers, technicians, and clients to foster a preventive safety culture and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site walk‑throughs to inspect safety conditions, PPE usage, and equipment.
• Prepare and review essential safety documentation, including ATS, risk matrices, and work permits.
• Lead daily Tool Box Meetings, participate in safety briefings, and support incident reviews.
• Serve as the main point of contact for safety compliance during site operations, guaranteeing a safe working environment for all team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid Professional License (Idoneidad Profesional).
• At least 1 year of experience in field safety supervision, HSE execution, or industrial operations.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken & written).
