HSE Advisor

About the role

The HSSE Advisor will plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions. Serve as the primary HSSE point of contact for Night Shift operations, supporting leadership and workforce on all safety, health, security, and environmental matters.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and coordinate safety programs to mitigate unsafe conditions.
• Act as the primary HSSE contact for night‑shift operations, advising leadership and staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HSSE policies, regulations and industrial processes.
• Review JSEAs and Risk Assessments, provide hazard identification and guidance.
• Conduct pre‑job briefings, field engagement and document workforce acknowledgment of JSEAs.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Inspect and audit facilities, machinery and safety equipment for compliance.
• Lead HSSE projects and implement related policies and initiatives.
• Deliver HSSE training on safety laws, hazardous condition monitoring and equipment use.
• Compile and analyze statistical data on lagging safety indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work evening‑to‑overnight hours (6 PM‑3 AM) with rotational shifts and weekend coverage.
• Valid TWIC Card or ability to obtain one within the first month of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED; associate degree in Safety Technology, Occupational Health, or HSSE certification preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Solid computer skills in basic office suite programs.
• Ability to conduct investigations, audits and deliver training.
