Graduate Commercial – Entry Level Procurement

About the role

This entry‑level position is designed for recent graduates to develop commercial and supply‑chain skills within First Quantum's Cobre Panamá operations. You will support procurement, expediting and inventory control activities while gaining hands‑on experience with ERP systems and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Support routine procurement tasks such as Easy Item, Easy Vendor and Easy Prepayment under guidance of the Procurement team.
• Assist Procurement officers with non‑routine purchasing, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
• Monitor open purchase orders, confirm delivery dates, follow up on delays and escalate critical orders.
• Coordinate delivery requirements with Warehousing and end users, handling supplier inquiries on overages, shortages and damages.
• Update purchasing and delivery status, supplier notes and transaction records accurately in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Recently graduated in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• No prior professional experience required; internships or academic projects are a plus.
• Basic understanding of purchasing, supplier management, logistics flows, inventory concepts and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic Excel; familiarity with ERP systems such as JDE or Oracle is desirable.
• Basic English, strong communication, organization and attention to detail.
